The SRH Situation

SRH is a family business, founded and directed by Erika Higgins.
We’re located right on the border of Alberta and Saskatchewan, Canada, 

It all began with Erika’s interest in learning how to wear her first baby (where does one buy a ‘baby wrap’, she wondered?) and quickly evolved into a passion-project-turned-full-time-craft, in 2013, the first year the original Rhubaby joined the crew. She left her job planning weddings and events, and wove full time with Rhubaby #1 in tow, for about three years. Over time, a seamstress, a couple of studio assistants, and even another baby, joined the fray, as the business continued to gain a foothold in the emerging world of North American artisan handwoven baby carriers. 

Eight years later, she’s still juggling the kids and the weaving, but now there’s a budding ceramics sideproject, too! 

SRH is proud to be a production partner with Baby Tula, who chop and sew our fabrics into stunning and highly functional baby carriers of all sizes and styles. 

As babies eventually age out of being worn, families find other useful and beautiful ways to enjoy all things SRH. From cowls, to handbags made in collaboration with local business The Rosy Deer, to mugs and bowls, there’s something pretty and durable, waiting to join your household.
